About

I’ve always been curious.

Over the years, that curiosity has taken me in a lot of directions—history, psychology, fitness, writing, philosophy, music, health, and more. Whenever a new interest sparks, I tend to do what many of us do now: I look for a course, a lecture series, or a deep dive online and start learning.

Sometimes that interest lasts for months.
Sometimes it fades after a few weeks.

And often, when the interest fades, so does my progress in the course.

That Used to Feel Like Failure

Now I see it differently.

One of the underrated gifts of modern online learning is this: you don’t lose the course when your interest wanes. It’s still there. Waiting. Ready for when curiosity returns.

Unlike a traditional class, there’s no deadline, no penalty, no pressure to keep going just to finish. You can pause. Step away. Come back months—or even years—later with fresh eyes and a deeper appreciation.

That realization changed how I think about learning.

Why Learning Unrushed Exists

Learning Unrushed is a place to explore learning at a more human pace.

Not faster.
Not more efficiently.
But more intentionally.

This site is about:

  • Choosing online learning platforms thoughtfully
  • Learning how to study, take notes, and actually retain information
  • Letting curiosity lead—without guilt when interests shift
  • Accepting that learning is cyclical, not linear

I’m not here to “optimize” learning.
I’m here to understand it better.

My 2026 Learning Experiment

In 2026, I’m approaching learning differently.

Instead of juggling many courses at once or drifting from topic to topic, my plan is simple:

  • Choose 2–3 interests
  • Study them for 90 days
  • Then intentionally move on to a new area of study
  • Repeat the process throughout the year

The goal isn’t to complete everything.
The goal is to engage deeply, understand more, and remember what matters.

Along the way, I’ll be:

  • Exploring different online learning platforms
  • Writing about how I study and take notes
  • Experimenting with ways to retain what I learn
  • Reflecting honestly on what works—and what doesn’t

This site will document that process in real time.

What You’ll Find Here

At Learning Unrushed, I write about:

  • Online learning platforms and how they feel when used slowly
  • Learning skills—reading, note-taking, studying, revisiting ideas
  • Personal reflections on curiosity, focus, and retention
  • What changes when learning becomes intentional rather than rushed

Some posts are practical.
Some are reflective.
All are written from lived experience.

Who This Site Is For

Learning Unrushed is for:

  • Curious adults who still love learning
  • People who start courses with enthusiasm—and don’t always finish them
  • Learners who want understanding, not just completion
  • Anyone who believes learning should enrich life, not feel like homework

If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

A Final Thought

Interests come and go.
Curiosity ebbs and flows.
That’s not a flaw—it’s how learning works.

Learning Unrushed is an invitation to slow down, return when ready,
and let learning unfold over time.

Thanks for being here.
